Recession strikes

Hi, just a quick one, to keep you in the loop.
I have been diverted by the seemingly pointless occupation of pursuing money of recent, so the amount of time and energy i have to spare on creative endeavours is, well rather decreased. It is rather unlucky that there seems to be a bit of a lack of the stuff around; i wonder how long we got till things fall apart all together- oop's did i type that?... Well what i meant to say is, I'm sure everything will all work out just fine- it's only a matter of time ;)
But i am working on my voice and show reel in any spare time, and hope to publish some material some time in November. I have some footage of myself as characters from the 40's as a pin-up, a 60's hippy, 80's punk and a 2020 future girl- In an informal documentary stile.
I look forward to posting and receiving any comments anybody may have to make.
I also plane to create a voice reel and have a found a lovely teacher called Mae and recording studio and have been rehearsing lots, wish me luck... As i wish for any of you striving to create against all the odds, i hope you all succeed.

First Outfit

Here i want to indulge myself by writing a short entry about my first little number for girls.
I'm proud to show-off this first outfit, a mix of qualities are present, and the design is influenced by the origin of the fabric as well my love of Punk and Manga. However i decided to play-down these qualities in order to come up with something subtle yet intriguingly unconventional. The Fabric was from a dress given to me by my partners mother, it was made by her mother in the GDR Ira, which was in former east Berlin. The fabric is of course synthetic, the colourful small floral print speaks very clearly of that time. The punk influence of the outfit for me, is a new more subtle punk, the punk that juxtaposes style of the clothing with character of the individual. I also feel hand-warmers themself are the ultimate punk accessory, especially where the fabric is old, making it reto. Not to mention Manga, which is for me a form of punk, at least in the west. The fact that the outfit is complete, already suggests Manga, as well as the length of skirt, abundance of floral pink and purple, and perhaps most of all the shape of the cravat over a simple cream top with high neck. It took the most time to make the cravat and hand warmers. Cheesy as it sounds, i believe accessorise really are everything.
I'm currently working on a range of hoodys for boy's, soon to be reviled...

Sub Urban Art

The Proto. lab have been busy creating various pieces for the 'sub urban art exhibition'...
working hard though the night the Proto' Possie Massive celebrated their creative ability by gathering in a secret location in the middle of the woods to etch there dreams onto the night.
Madness was no doubt to ensue, with some people cutting stencils by candle light in one corner and another group getting funky with a rake in the other (raking wet paint seems to make some mighty pretty patterns).
All in all, we came up with a some interesting pictures....
Here is a preview of my lackadaisical take on this project, it's called 'Lost in the Caribbean'.
It's spray paint and oil on pine board.
Well aside from saying that i am working on stencils for the 'Sub urban art exhibition', I'll just throw in the fact that i have come up with some pretty rocking hand warmers for guys. Which I'm proud of and will post just as soon as i find a male mannequin hand to model them.
I have also been organising a production which i am hoping to put on sometime in September in Berlin... I'll keep it short and sweet for now, and write more on the production later-
keep up the good spirit.

Warming up...

I am still on track, it has just taken me some time to warm up to a point that not only am i fluent in knowing how to use my web site but I'm also more relaxed an realistic about the possibilities that are implicated by this site and how i can move forward with all my ideas...
It takes time... Though i would like to have everything done in a matter of day's (and some how still believe it will only take me 10 minutes to rustle up a ground brakingly practical and stylish pare of new had warmers). The reality is quite different when you have too many creative out lets and wish to try and combine them all, it can become mighty chaotic. I could do with some kind of manager to give me an objective out look. However until somebody materialises i am content to work by trial and hopeful not too much error...

My plan in the next 2 months is:
1. To create new material for my show reel, at least 3 performances, edit and upload them to this site.
2. To create a new fusion of hand warmer design with technology (details of which i am prohibited to discuss at this point).
3. To finish the hand warmer range of 10 or more then upload to the shop, and make it function.

A lot has happened in my personal life to hold up my planes and this is why it has taken me 6 months to really get going.

Next blog should be full of successes and optimism over what i have achieved ;)

New year is fast upon us.

Hello dear readers. Here marks my mission into cyber space; with the new year comes a beautiful new home page and also hopefully a spring board for me to dive into my chosen industry... here i pledge to unfold the mysteries of my journey, to those who have good taste and an interest in me and what i do.
Like the site i am part of i am also representative of it's open ethos, that is to say i would be happy to hear your comments and i look forward to leaning from the feed back i receive from you.
right now i feel a bit overwhelmed with all that i have to do (over achiever), but i greatly look forward to the challenge this year holds for me.
I hope to provide a good example of individualism and the free creative license (that is a fundamental essential part of being human), to be your self (apologies to the cheese sensitive).
i am kinda kitsch in the way i express myself...
watch this space, it's gonna get interesting.
