Azrael brought his shoes over from Bayeonia. They are absolute top of the prop hightech. They not only keep track of footsteps speed and energy burned. They adjust to the ground and also to the foot every time you slip them in there. The pressure the put on the foot can be adjusted by a touch interface. They are made out of Keflar and are virtually indestructible. A device that can be lightly strapped around ones arm gives the runner all the information from the shoe and gives him also a positional device in relation with other runners. Azraels shoes are also prepped up / hacked and he can also locate his position through a 3d map on his arm wrapper and have a connection to other information about the area he is in.
