Loops are Not in Any Future of VJing

Having played video loops for 8 years I never felt compelled to challenge the question if loops do actually work in video as they do in audio. Back in the years where VJing was a novelty loops where the only real means to carry a night full of video on a hard drive platter. Still it seeemed that the more loops a VJ possesed the better the performance was - the more interesting the set stayed for a long time. With my 1000+ loops at felt at times so bored even so that was pretty much the top of the amount anybody would carry (at least self produced). VJing with loops has at the moment pretty much ceased to exist. Giving way to the more elaborate forms of creativly lighting a space with abstraction. Be it mapping transforming buildings walls and 3D structures into things they are not to particle basd autonomous selfreplicating masterpieces of code that moves and morphs and dances all night with just little input and values to adjust its just not the video jockeying from which the medium itself formed. That is very much absent.
I have always said that the audience is used to a quality on screen that is so far out of reach for a normal video loops playing VJ that this alone would never give them even the opertunity to make work that can be accepted. Now fast forward about 2000 years into the future that we are now in we all of the sudden can playback HD video - multiple streams, can alter it and also can produce visual effects in the home office with budget hardware (as far as budget goes but its within reach to the normal person) that comes close to the Hollywood & TV production our eyes are trained to think are "cool looking". Well that future is pretty much now - or at least we are finally starting into that future.

Nach einer kurzen Auszeit stellen wir fest, daß die Welt noch existiert, melden uns zurück und versuchen völlig unstruktiert unser Format wiedrzubeleben. Protolab und alles Mögliche aus 2 Jahren Auszeit. Und.. wir haben auch ein fieses brummen drauf was nächtes Mal GARANTIERT nicht dabei sein wird.

Flüssige Piraten Party

Im Packeis trafen wir in neutralen Gewässern die beiden Berliner Piraten fRED und Christopher, bevor wir jedoch ihre Enterhaken in Augenschein nahmen, drehten wir Akkus, verkleinerten die Sahara, bauten Häuser aus Müll und Stroh und pflanzten über den Dächern New Yorks Mohrrüben an. Liquid Feedback ist Gegenstand des Interviews, Basisdemokratie braucht Tools, welche Debatten effektiv auf den Punkt bringen oder so.

Im Relay3 Modus, mit offenbar begrenzter Sendekapazität startete der Raumfrachter pünktlich zu spät um den Weltraumschrott ringförmig um das Solarsoundsystem aufzuschichten, aufziehbare Massagegadgets gehören zur Standartausstattung für die Lounge des 26. Chaos Communication Congress. Ein gewisser Pisu.Music wurde 2 mal Verhört und damit Ihr euch nicht verhört, haben wir das Material auch noch mal verhört. Ein guter Mann ist das, rich and famous erst nachdem ihr Ihn dazu gemacht habt.
