prototypen.com 0.8b - lots of changes everywhere

There have been lots of changes over the last month and we are closing in to the finish line pretty fast. As new additions we have the "Grüne Bohnen Fraktion" our real outside organic agricultural test field where we will document our trials on how to grow organic food on the side. Then there is the section for our proto.lab where we will publish laboratory findings in robotics, alternative media production and whatever else we come up with and to top it all off we also have an official photo section where we will publish photos that we think have some value to go out on the net but just have no other home.
The most visible change of all is the new homepage fully axafied and much cleaner (and much easier to add stuff too). The subsection previews load on demand so not to be a huge burden on the bandwidth and some care has been taken to load as little as possible data, still its a big homepage and especially the first time it might take a bit to load - there is always the battle between pretty and fast and finding the right balance is an art in itself. The new home definately overshoots a bit and might be heavy for people with slow connection but this is not a website of the past and broadband speed is getting faster and faster and in a year most people will probably laugh about a few 100kB here and a few 100kB there. Still if enough people complain I might need to trim it down - so let us know what you think.
Invisible there have been some really nasty bugs ironed out in the backend of the CMS and we are now fully multiuser enabled with rights management and groups.
There will probably one more structural update before 1.0 (adding two more sections in - finishing mogreens section). Then there will be a week of content - a push to fill the website with whatever is laying around and stress test it a last time and then we should go golden.
